Modern fuel injection systems operate under immense pressures—ranging from 40 PSI in port-injected petrol engines up to 30,000 PSI in modern Common Rail Diesel (CRD) systems. Because fuel injectors sit directly inside the scorching combustion chamber, low-quality fuel, short urban journeys, and unburned carbon cause hard varnish deposits to bake onto the injector tips. This carbon chokes the precise atomization pattern required for clean combustion. If your car suffers from rough idling, engine hesitation during acceleration, engine misfires, or terrible fuel economy (MPG), a dirty fuel system is the prime suspect.
